A protected island with clear water and soft sand, Ko Samae San is about a 3 hour drive away from Bangkok 🐚🏝️📍

The island has five beaches, although swimming is only allowed at Hat Thien and Hat Luk Lom. Clear water, white sand, and coral reefs reflect ongoing conservation work. Ko Samae San welcomes up to 500 visitors per day, and tickets are purchased at the Natural History Museum at Khao Mar Jor Pier.

Visitors can join daytime trips or stay at nearby resorts close to the pier. Snorkeling, glass-bottom boat rides, kayaking, and ocean activities are all available here!

Ko Samae San is a protected island in Sattahip, Chon Buri, as part of the Plant Genetic Conservation Project under the Royal Initiative of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.

Born in 563 BCE, Siddhartha Gautama is recognized as the first Buddha, and his teachings remain central to Buddhist practice around the world.

Across Thailand, Bodhi Day, or Wan Phra Rohats, is observed through activities like decorating Bodhi trees, enjoying tea and simple sweets, and meditating. These traditions take place at temples throughout the country, including Wat Phra That Doi Phra Chan and the Great Buddha of Kamakura Statue in Lampang, Northern Thailand.
